Turn an ordinary shoebox into your very own HAUNTED HOUSE and enter it into our Spooky Shoebox Parade of Haunted Houses!

Bring your completed haunted house and registration form to the Gibsonville Community Center, 314 Tenth Street, by October 23.

Join Gibsonville Parks and Recreation and the Burlington Cruisers Car Club for a spooktacular evening of fall fun at Halloween on the Green! Families are invited to gather on the Downtown Green for a festive night filled with games, treats, costumes, and Halloween excitement.

The Burlington Cruisers Car Club will be on-site with an impressive lineup of classic cars, creating an awesome Trunk-or-Treat experience for families to enjoy. It's a unique way to celebrate Halloween while checking out some incredible vehicles and collecting plenty of treats along the way.

Come dressed in your favorite costume and enjoy an evening packed with fall festivities! Kids can participate in fun games, collect treats from local businesses and organizations, and show off their Halloween spirit. Don't forget your furry friends—our Pet Costume Contest is always a crowd favorite!

THE PUMPKIN PARADE IS BACK!

Join us Friday, October 23 from 4–7 PM for Halloween on the Green in Downtown Gibsonville!

Stroll through our Pumpkin Parade, where local businesses and neighbors will show off their spookiest, silliest, and most creative pumpkins.

Take a look at them all, pick your favorite, and cast your vote!

Plus, enjoy trick-or-treating, costumes, games, Halloween fun and more throughout Downtown Gibsonville.

Bring the family, wear your favorite costume, and come enjoy a fun fall evening with us in Downtown Gibsonville!

Get your costumes ready and your bags handy for the Halloween Egg Scramble and Costume Contest!

Join us October 15 at 6:00 PM for a scramble to collect 4,000 candy- and toy-filled eggs! It will be held at Moricle Park Ballfields. This event is a super quick one! Families, please know the eggs go quickly and it's over before you know it!

Children will participate in three age groups:

Ages 0–3

Ages 4–7

Ages 8–10

Keep an eye out for the special egg hidden in each age group! We’ll also award a prize for the best costume in each group.

Bring a bag to collect your eggs and wear your favorite costume!

Rain date: October 22 at 6:00 PM. It will be at Moricle Park Ballfields.

Cool off and have some fun at our Beat the Summer Heat event on Friday, August 7 from 2:00–4:00 PM at the Gibsonville Community Center! ☀️💦

Bring the kids — and the kids at heart — for an afternoon of FREE summer fun, featuring a bounce house water slide, snow cones, and classic yard games. It’s the perfect way for families to escape the summer heat, burn off some energy, and enjoy time together in a relaxed, fun environment.

• Pie Judging Contest (judged by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen)
• Free hot dogs for the first 250 guests, provided by Ashley & Heidi, the "Weenie Women"

Juneteenth Celebration – June 20, 2026

Join Gibsonville Parks & Recreation for a day of celebration, culture, community, and fun at our annual Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM at Murrell Park (315 Tenth Street, Gibsonville, NC).

This family-friendly event honors the history and significance of Juneteenth while bringing the community together through music, food, education, entertainment, and local engagement. Guests of all ages are invited to spend the day enjoying activities, supporting local vendors, and celebrating the spirit of community in Gibsonville.

In addition, attendees can browse over 15 vendor booths showcasing local artisans, creators, and small businesses from across the area.

Lace up your sneakers and join us for the GIBSONVILLE FUN RUN at Murrell Park! This fun, family-friendly community event is open to all ages and all fitness levels—run, jog, walk, or stroll at your own pace. The focus is on movement, smiles, and spending time together in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

Set in the beautiful surroundings of Murrell Park, the FUN RUN is all about enjoying the outdoors while supporting a great cause. There’s no competition and no pressure—just a positive way to get active and give back.
