Celebrate the season at Gibsonville’s biggest event of the year — the Fall Festival is back on Saturday, October 11, and it’s bringing small-town charm, big fun, and festive energy to the heart of downtown!

This year’s festival features over 145 vendors, delicious food trucks, and all your favorite fair-style concessions, including the always-popular delicious, sweet treats, kettle corn, cotton candy and MORE. From handcrafted goods to tasty eats, there’s something for everyone!

Kids and families can enjoy activities like the rock climbing wall, bounce houses, and the video game truck. Be sure to bring cash — some attractions have a small fee and accept only cash payment.

New this year: A free shuttle bus will be running throughout the event, transporting festival-goers to and from Christian Bible Fellowship Church (1290 Springwood Church Road). Park there and ride in with ease — we’ll bring you back to your car when you’re ready to head home!

We’re excited to announce the 2025 Gibsonville Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December 13th — with a new start time this year: 4:00 PM! 🎅🎶

Join us in Downtown Gibsonville for an afternoon full of holiday cheer, festive floats, and community spirit.

📋 Participant Information:

  • Registration begins at the end of October at the Gibsonville Community Center.

  • All applications must be submitted in person.

  • Participants must provide:
    ✅ Proof of insurance
    ✅ Driver’s license
    ✅ Vehicle registration

  • All drivers must be of legal driving age to operate a motor vehicle of any kind.

Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening under the stars with neighbors and friends. All are welcome as we celebrate freedom and progress together.

Juneteenth Celebration at Gibsonville community center

Join us for a powerful and meaningful celebration of Juneteenth, a day to honor the freedom and resilience of African Americans. Commemorating June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in Galveston, Texas were finally informed of their liberation, this event will feature local food vendors, historical information gathering, activities for kids, craft goods vendors, chair yoga, health screenings, bounce houses and honoring African Americans contributions to the community over the years.

We will also have a celebration on the Downtown Green with music by the Aquarius Moon Band 7:00pm-9:00pm.

  • 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM | Guest Speakers
    Friends and family will share heartwarming stories and cherished memories of time spent with Mike.

  • 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM | Fellowship & Snacks
    Connect, reminisce, and enjoy light refreshments with others whose lives Mike touched.

  • 4:00 PM – 4:30 PM | A Game of Catch
    We’ll close the celebration in Mike’s spirit — with a friendly game of catch at Minneola Ball Park.

We’re looking for speakers who’d like to share personal stories, funny moments, or fond reflections about Mike. If you’d like to participate, please call the Gibsonville Community Center at 336-449-7241 to sign up.

Let’s come together in the way Mike would’ve loved — with laughter, stories, and a little time on the field.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Gibsonville Parks and Recreation for the inaugural
”Mike Dupree Scholarship” which will support the ability for all children to participate in rec sports in Gibsonville. Please make donations out to Gibsonville Parks and Recreation and they can be mailed to 314 Tenth Street Gibsonville NC 27249.
