The Town of Gibsonville works hard to keep costs fair and affordable for everyone. For years, we have paid card processing fees directly to the payment vendor so you didn’t have to. However, these costs have grown significantly, and continuing to absorb them would impact all customers.

Beginning October 1st, 2026, the town will implement a 3% surcharge on all credit card payments made in person and over the phone. A 3.5% service fee will be charged to all online card payments (both credit and debit).

To avoid these fees, customers may pay via cash, check, or set up an ACH bank draft.
